1. About this policy

MIA Co., Ltd. (‘we’, ‘us’) uses cookies and browser storage (localStorage) on OlaJob (olajob.jp, the ‘Service’). This policy explains what we use, why we use it, and how you can control it.

Any personal information obtained through cookies and similar technologies is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

This policy is originally written in Japanese. This English version is a translation for reference; if there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.

2. What cookies and localStorage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, used for things like keeping you signed in. localStorage is a way of saving data inside your browser; the data stays on your device.

3. Cookies we use

At launch, the Service uses the following cookies:

• oj_session (strictly necessary): keeps your login session. It is set with the HttpOnly attribute, so scripts on the page cannot read it. Without it, features that require login do not work.
• oj_in (functional): only indicates whether you are signed in, so that we can show the ‘My page’ link. It contains no personal information such as your name or email address.

4. Storage in your browser (localStorage)

We save what you enter in the Visa & Job Match form and your resume drafts in your browser (localStorage) on your device, so that you can continue where you left off even if you close the page.

This data is stored on your device. Saving it does not by itself send it to our servers; it is sent only to the extent needed when you take an action such as submitting, applying or using AI Resume.

If you use a shared computer, we recommend clearing your browser's stored data after use.

5. Advertising and analytics

At launch, the Service does not use advertising cookies or cookies for third-party behavioral advertising.

If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and explain the cookies used and their purposes.

6. Communication with external services

If you sign in with Google, your browser communicates with Google LLC, and Google may use its own cookies under its own policies. Please see Google's privacy policy for details.

Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the Service, may also set cookies needed for security, such as preventing unauthorized access.

7. How to control cookies

You can use your browser settings to refuse cookies or to delete stored cookies and localStorage data. If you disable strictly necessary cookies, some features of the Service, such as login, will not work.

8. Changes and contact

We may revise this policy as needed and will announce important changes on the Service.
